Short trip to KATHMANDU

Kathmandu is a Nepal's capital, is set in a valley surrounded by the Himalayan mountains.

At the heart of the old city’s mazelike alleys is Durbar Square, which becomes frenetic during Indra Jatra, a religious festival featuring masked dances. Many of the city's historic sites were damaged or destroyed by a 2015 earthquake. Durbar Square's palace, Hanuman Dhoka, and Kasthamandap, a wooden Hindu temple, are being rebuilt.

I visited here in Feb 2024 for a week , just to explore a capital.

As you know we can exchange our Indian currency there but for best exchange rate carry notes of 100
you can get exchange in local markets and hotels as well

Flights from Mumbai are cheaper for this city if you book advance in a month or more.

locals were lovely and ready to help tourists , food was great and pocket friendly.

One can book a cab for a day with local cab driver and we got that for around 2000 per day inclusive of all. which means driver , waiting, parking , toll and taxes. which is best to cover long distances .

Don't fall in trap of Jio International data updates, that doesn’t work here.

Kathmandu is particularly famous for its religious monuments. Various temples, monasteries, and stupas adorn the city's landscape, particularly the Pashupatinath Temple and the Changu Narayan which are famous for their stunning, intricate religious artworks.
