Restless heart ! who wants to travel and explore the world

श्रीलंका फिरायला जावे कि नाही : एका मराठी माणसाच्या नजरेतून  VISITED FEB 2022 As a traveller "Sri lanka" was never in my priority list of countries which I wanted to visit. And I have reasonable excuses for that too , First of all I am from costal region of maharashtra ,मालवण  तसे पाहता आपला दक्षिण भारत आणि महाराष्ट्राचा भौगोलिक प्रदेश बराचसा मिळता जुळता आहे. श्रीलंका मध्ये पहिले तर त्यांचा प्रदेश देखील आपल्या दक्षिण भारता प्रमाणेच दिसतो ; या मुळे मी नेहमीच श्रीलंकेला दुय्यम स्थान देत आलेले. पण या covid च्या काळात जेंव्हा पुन्हा एकदा international ट्रॅव्हल resume करायचे होते तेंव्हा हाच देश मला जाण्यायोग्य वाटला  त्याची करणे म्हणजे  १      कोविड च्या २ लस झाल्या असतील व त्याला १५ दिवस होऊन गेले असतील तर फार काही निर्बंध न लागता तुम्ही या देशात प्रवेश घेऊ शकता  २      लहान मुलांसंदर्भातील नियम देखील स्पष्ट केले होते (१२ वर्षा खालील मुलांना निर्बंध लागत नाहीत) आणि मला माझ्या ९ वर्षाच्या मुली सोबत प्रवास करायचा होता  ३  ...

IMPORTANT NOTE I must say Brussels has beautiful architectural buildings and people too... But when we visited there (May 2018) I have seen lots of Syrians were there , with there extended families... on roads... at train stations... bust stops... almost everywhere ... That gave me bad impression of the city.... This people were begging on road and following travelers to get some money from them. This was horrified experience and First time I was afraid in Europe to go out at night time. THINGS TO DO IN BRUSSELS: Brussels is known for its cuisine and gastronomy, as well as its historical and architectural landmarks; some of them are registered as UNESCO World Heritage sites. Main attractions include its historic Grand Place, Manneken Pis, Atomium, and cultural institutions such as La Monnaie and the Museums of Art and History. Up to 63% of Brussels inhabitants speak French as (one of their) native language(s), while Arabic speakers represent 21.1...

Budapest was the first city where we landed during our Europe trip.... we were so excited and had some research before we land but still, some things were like to hit our pocket... "Currency" We were carrying Euro and Usd with us which has no use in Budapest because Hungary has their own currency ie  Hungarian Forints As we did research, we know it before we land but we were there only for 4 days 3 nights so instated of converting it from India we thought of changing our currency at Airport  And that was the Bad decision  So what I want to tell you in very first is,  exchange your currency at your Hotels/ resorts / Money Exchange places only... They can give you the best rate there but "not at the Airport for sure" Taxies accept cards; so no worries about taxi fare ... but ask the driver before you book that cab. "Budget Holiday" Our Europe was purely formed on budget holidays .... so we booked our air ticket well in advance, hotel...
