Prague

The capital of the Czech Republic

Description

Prague, the capital city of the Czech Republic, is bisected by the Vltava River. Nicknamed “the City of a Hundred Spires,” it's known for its Old Town Square, the heart of its historic core, with colourful baroque buildings, Gothic churches and the medieval Astronomical Clock, which gives an animated hourly show. Completed in 1402, pedestrian Charles Bridge is lined with statues of Catholic saints.

PLACES TO VISIT

CHARLES BRIDGE

Charles Bridge is a historic bridge that crosses the Vltava river in Prague, Czech Republic. Its construction started in 1357 under the auspices of King Charles IV and finished at the beginning of the 15th century

The most representative place of Prague, amazing views of the river and the city, sculptures are amazing and very nice distributed all along the bridge. It is an excellent place to make snapshots of the city and the river, architecture is superb and it is wonderful seeing the artists playing music or painting pictures. I love this place, you should not miss visiting this place if you go to Prague.

Prague Castle

Prague Castle is a castle complex in Prague, the Czech Republic, dating from the 9th century. It is the official office of the President of the Czech Republic. The castle was a seat of power for kings of Bohemia, Holy Roman emperors, and presidents of Czechoslovakia.

Beautiful must visit place in Prague. Trans are available to the uphills of the castle. You could buy a ticket from the information centre located on the right side when you arrive. Don’t forget to get a discount if you are a student. They have different circuits make a choice yourself. Don’t miss the castle, cathedral and the old town. An audio tour was also available. At the end, you could enjoy the view of the Prague city from the top. Which would also get you the view of the Charles bridge. You could get yourself something to drink or eat by the end of your self-tour. Don’t carry anything heavy as a normal self-enjoying tour would take a minimum of 1 hour. Highly recommend.

St. Vitus Cathedral

The Metropolitan Cathedral of Saints Vitus, Wenceslaus and Adalbert is a Roman Catholic metropolitan cathedral in Prague, the seat of the Archbishop of Prague. Until 1997, the cathedral was dedicated only to Saint Vitus and is still commonly named only as St. Vitus Cathedral.

Incredible Gothic details... I love it. Windows, colours, arches, shadows, towers... What a pleasure to see them. You can take awesome photos from down of the cathedral. You can enter until 6 pm. And don't forget to get a bottle of water or a sandwich. It's really expensive up there.

Things to note

There are many Drug addicts in Prague who looks sophisticated and beg you for help or money ... don't give it to them anything and avoid lonely places in dark ... Be safe ... Happy Holidays to you.
Local food is very tasty... you can buy cosmetics here, cosmetic prices are cheaper than Paris.
