Ooty Hill Station : Must visit place

Ooty is very famous for honeymoon and now I can understand why.... so so soooo beautiful place, natural beauty with a cold climate and huge trees, It's a beautiful place with nature's blessing on it.

First of all, you have to reach there by very curvy roads, as soon as you go high and high you will welcome by beautiful lavender colour flowers on the route.

There are plenty hotels and restaurants available to stay or have food. 

My stay was limited to 1 day over there, but with no hurry, we completed all points of interest in 1 day. If you wanna take rest then you can do that and enjoy beauty of OOTY

Ooty, also known as Udhagamandalam, is a hill station in the state of Tamil Nadu, in southern India. Surrounded by trees, central Ooty Lake is a huge artificial expanse of water with pleasure boats. Government Rose Garden, Ooty 

The Government Rose Garden is situated on the slopes of the Elk Hill in Vijayanagaram of Ooty town in Tamil Nadu, India at an altitude of 2200 meters. Initially, when the gardens were developed, 1,919 varieties of roses with 17,256 rose plants were planted. Today there are more than 20,000 varieties of roses of 2,800 cultivars. It is one of the largest collections of roses in India

Nilgiri Mountain Railway

The Nilgiri Mountain Railway is a 1,000 mm metre gauge railway in Tamil Nadu, India, built by the British in 1908, and is operated by the Southern Railway. NMR is the only rack railway in India. The railway relies on its fleet of steam locomotives.


Ooty Tea Factory / Ooty tea garden 

Spread over an area of nearly 1 acre of land, the Ooty Tea Factory is situated amid the blue hills of Nilgiris, perched at an altitude of approximately 1839metre. Located at a distance of around 4 km from the city-centre, it is a must visit place for all tea lovers. It houses the Tea Museum as well where visitors can learn about the origin of different kinds of tea leaves that are used across the globe along with the history of tea in India and its evolution in the Nilgiris. While inside the factory, one can learn and appreciate the method of tea processing by CTC (Cut, Twist and Curl) machines. Sip a hot cup of tea as you admire the beautiful surroundings of the place.
